sleepbus® provides free and safe overnight accommodation for anyone who needs a place to sleep.

The sleepbus® mission is to bring safe, temporary, overnight accommodation to people sleeping rough in Australia.

The Canberra Sleepbus Service has a new location, just around the corner from the EMC.

How does it work?

Each sleepbus® has up to 20 secure, climate controlled, individual sleep pods in twin cabins, each with a lockable door and toilet.

Everyone is looked after with overnight security and CCTV surveillance.

There is also storage under the bus for belongings, a cosy place for companion animals and a twin cabin for the overnight volunteers.

Who can access this service?

Anyone in need of temporary overnight accommodation may use this service free of charge.

Where is this service located?

The Canberra Sleepbus is located in the street parking bays in Turner opposite McKay Gardens, at 6 Watson Street, Turner.

How can I access the Canberra Sleepbus Service?

The Canberra Sleepbus Service is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Boarding is from 8.30pm to 10pm sharp.
