Canberra Homeless Connect: Humanity, Assistance and Comfort
Canberra Homeless Connect is a one-stop-shop for people in the Canberra community who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, homelessness. The event focuses on the wellbeing and protection of guests by connecting them with service providers and a supportive community.
The event offers a one-stop-shop that brings much needed services and care to everyone from rough sleepers to couch surfers.
Guests will receive free haircuts, shoes, dental and medical checks, and sessions with housing agencies to name a few of the goods and services on offer.
Last year we had over 100 guests attend the event with over 30 stalls, from dental care to legal support to haircuts and pet food.
No registration is required, just turn up on the day!
When: Thursday, 17 October 2019 from 11am to 3pm
Where: Canberra City Uniting Church (home of the EMC)
