EMC COVID PLAN

Conditions of entry:

  • No entry if sick or showing COVID symptoms.
  • Limit of 15 people in the centre.

The EMC COVID plan includes the conditions of entry advertised on site, at the door and around the centre.

Due to the restrictions around the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, we have been unable to continue to operate on a “business as usual” basis. However, as the restrictions are being eased, we are able to resume some of our regular activities.

Below is a list of the current service arrangements as of Monday, 15 June 2020.

Breakfast (7.30am – 8.30am)

  • Breakfast is take-away only.
  • Tea, coffee and milo will be served through the door.

Community Hub (9.00am – 2.00pm)

  • Tea, coffee and milo will be served through the door.
  • We have separated some tables following the social distancing guidelines, so guests are welcome to come and sit in the centre in half hour periods (this time can be extended if there aren’t others waiting).
  • We have opened up computer use for half hour periods; guests can just turn up and book their place.
  • The medical clinic is open every Wednesday from 9.00am to 11.00am.
  • The Street to Home outreach program with Vinnie is on every Tuesday from 9.30am to 10.30am.
  • Canberra Community Law is conducting the Street Law outreach program via Webex Conferencing every Monday from 10.00am to 10.30am. Guests can use our computers for this.
  • Pets in the Park is back! The monthly vet clinic providing free healthcare for guests’ pets is starting back on Sunday, 2 August from 2pm to 4pm. Click here to find out more.
