Current Affairs Discussion Group

The weekly Current Affairs Discussion Group is back

The Current Affairs Discussion Group is coming back to the Early Morning Centre from Wednesday, 14 July, thanks to Dr Kim Huynh, Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the ANU.

About Dr Kim

Dr Kim Huynh has had a go at a few things. He teaches courses on refugee politics and political philosophy at the Australian National University. He’s published a successful book about his parents and the Vietnam War named Where the Sea Takes Us along with short stories, academic articles and essays for a range of news outlets. Kim ran as an independent candidate in the 2016 ACT Election (GoKimbo.com.au). And he presents an ABC Radio Canberra program about culture and ideas called Sunday Brunch.

Kim coordinated the EMC current affairs group before COVID-19 hit, and he’s keen to get back into it to listen to questions and ideas about the ACT, Australia and the world.

Schedule

The weekly discussion group will now be on Wednesdays at 12pm, with the first group on 14 July 2021. All guests are welcome to join. If you have any questions, please chat to our team.
