Pets in the Park vet clinics

Pets in the Park vet clinics

Pets in the Park Canberra provide free vet services for pets belonging to people who are experiencing homelessness. The team of volunteers hold a monthly vet clinic at the Early Morning Centre.

Upcoming Clinic Dates

The Pets in the Park vet clinics are held monthly on Sundays from 2pm to 4pm, and are scheduled for the following dates:

  • Sunday, 12 December 2021 from 2pm to 4pm

Please note if the COVID situation changes again, the clinics may be postponed. We will provide updates on this page and on Facebook.

COVID Safety Measures

The safety of our staff, volunteers, guests and the Pets in the Park volunteers is of the upmost importance. If you are planning on attending a clinic, please note the following measures will be in place:

The area will be marked off to help us to coordinate arrivals and social distancing. The team will refrain from the usual hugs, handshakes and pet pats (sorry). Admin staff will be wearing high-vis and will greet you and guide you through the process.

You will be asked:

  • if you have been unwell or have been to one of the COVID Hot Spots
  • to wear a face mask
  • to use hand sanitiser
  • to stay 1.5m away from everyone
  • to take a seat while the vets treat your pet
  • to contact us if you feel unwell in the future

If you are showing any flu like symptoms, awaiting COVID test results, or recently visited a hotspot, please refrain from attending the clinic and contact Pets in the Park to discuss ways they can help you.

Notes

All pets are welcome; please have dogs on a lead and cats in a carrier if possible.

You’ll need a written referral which we can provide you.

If you have any questions, please chat to our team.
